• You will have 40 minutes to complete the tasks below. If your group doesn't finish, you will finish on your own.

1. Start "Monkey's Paw" p. 185-Discuss the Make the Connection (write down your three wishes anywhere on the gold sheet) and Quickwrite, and review suspense
2. You will need to go back to the SHAPES on p. 185 under the section Making Predictions: What Next? and stop to answer questions during the play, so be sure to mark the page, so it's easy to go back to during the play. You will start with the circle, on p. 186. 
3. Assign Parts for play p. 186-195 (you may need to take two parts depending on group size, but EVERYONE needs a part) 
4. Be sure to read "What Does It All Add Up To? Significant Numbers" on p. 191
5. Done with play? Read p. 196-197 *Note any differences between the play and story
6. Complete questions on page 198 and TURN IN ASSIGNMENT
